Prior to Saturday's U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon in Los Angeles we caught up with Anna Weber, 27, of Indianapolis to learn more about her running, how she felt when she learned she had qualified for the Trials, and her life beyond running; including, who she would most like to have lunch with, her role model, her favorite athlete, and something a bit unique about herself.

This will be Anna’s first Olympic Trials.

So let's GET TO KNOW Anna a bit better......

How did you start running:
I started in 6th grade because the basketball coach said that whoever ran cross country would automatically make it past the first cut in basketball that season.  At the time, I wanted to someday be in the WNBA!

At what race did you qualify for the Olympic Trials?
2015 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, 2:38:39.

What went through your head when you had realized you had qualified?   How did you celebrate?
With about a mile to go I realized I was well under the "B" standard.  I saw my coach standing near mile 25.5 and I started crying.  I thought about all the sacrifices I had made during the Fall, and it was a very overwhelming and emotional moment of relief, satisfaction, elation, and mental and physical exhaustion.
