There are many hotels within a 30 minute drive of Shelbyville, including downtown Indianapolis.

It is preferred that course walks be completed by all teams by 9:15am on meet day so as not to interfere with races going on. There will be a lead and trail vehicle for each race.
The course is open to anyone to practice on in the days leading up to the meet. Please clean up any trash you may have.

Individuals: Valid 2015 USATF Membership and Proof of Birth is required for participation.
Individuals: Eligible for Region 7 meet by placing in top 30 finishers at the Indiana or Illinois Association meet.
Teams: Eligible for Region 7 meet by placing in the top 5 teams at the Indiana or Illinois Association meet.  To enter a team, a club must complete the team entry/declaration process during online registrations.  Only athletes listed on the team declaration roster will be eligible to represent the club at the Association, Regional or National championships.   
All advancements/entry for the USATF Region 7 Championships must be completed, paid for, and submitted online.  Online entries may be submitted using the USATF Junior Olympic entry portal.

Deadline: all entries must be completed by Wednesday, November 25 by 11:00 pm EST (no late entries).  The entry system will open on Tuesday, November 17.

  • Accuracy of data entered is the responsibility of each club and/or athlete.  
  • Please validate data within Coach O for accuracy prior to submitting entry.

TEAM SCORING: 8 athletes on the team entry/declaration form may be declared as scoring athletes.  The top 5 finishers among the declared runners will score. 
COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition, chest-high on the front of their jerseys.  Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes starting at 8:30 am in the concession stand at the facility.
EVENT RESULTS: During competition, event results will be posted at on the outside wall of the concession stand at the facility.  In addition, event results will be posted at
AWARDS: USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top Thirty (30) individuals in each age division. 
ADVANCEMENTS: The top 30 athletes and 5 teams at the Region 7 Championships will qualify for the National Championships.  The National Championships will be held on Saturday, December 12th in Albuquerque, NM.    Information is available here.

  • Print course maps to bring with you and for your spectators. There are large signs posted at the course with maps on them. A very limited number of printed maps will be available on site.
  • There is space for team camp areas along the parking lot, near the finish line or between the gulley and the gravel road to the west
  • NO SPIKES should be worn onto the splash pad surface or into any permanent building.
  • Teams should bring water/drink, cups, ice, bags for their athletes. Trainer will be on site with limited supplies.
  • Restrooms for spectators and athletes are available in the permanent buildings. Athletes may also use the
  • port-o-pots located near the start line
  • BRCCV is a ‘pack it in, pack it out’ park so please bring trash bags to carry your trash out with you
  • No pets are allowed within 75 yds of the course 2 hours before to 1 hour after the meet concludes
  • Restrooms for spectators and athletes are available in the permanent buildings
  • Spectators will not be allowed in or near the finish chute for any reason
  • Spectator parking is available around the splash pad building and softball diamonds
  • Be aware there is a walk to the start and finish areas: some paved, some gravel and some grass
  • Busses will drop athletes off to the South of the softball fields and drive through the gate to park on the
  • right, inside the fairgrounds. Busses should follow the signs to the drop off area.

  • FREE! FREE! FREE! The Strand Theatre in Shelbyville will be showing the movie Elf on Friday,November 27th at 1pm and 7pm. If you are in town early head there to watch the movie. Cash only for concessions. No drop offs, kids must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
