Carlile Brothers Earn November Athlete of the Month Honor

Brothers Connor and Jackson Carlile of Fishers have been named the USATF Indiana Athletes of the Month for November.  Both compete for the Northside Saints.
The brothers started the month off on November 1 by winning their divisions at the West Lafayette Classic in convincing fashion.  Connor won the 9-10 division by 34 seconds while Jackson won the 11-12 division by 36 seconds.
On November 14, the brothers again won their divisions at the Indiana Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships.  The margin of victory for both were again impressive as they competed against the best competition in the state.  Connor (10:54) crossed the line 26 seconds in front of his nearest competitor and Jackson (10:04) winning by 12 seconds.
Two weeks later at the Junior Olympic Region 7 Championships in Shelbyville their winning ways continued as they both picked up gold medals.  Connor (11:11) won by 25 seconds and Jackson (10:23) by 11 seconds.
They are both entered in the National Junior Olympics in Albuquerque, N.M. this weekend (December 12).  At last year’s national championships in South Carolina the brothers both earned All-American honors finishing 15th (Connor) and 18th (Jackson).  Both will look for top ten finishes as they return in the same age division as last year.
Of note, the boys’ younger sister Addison also had a great month of November.  She won the 8&under division at the West Lafayette Classic and then finished second at the Association and Regional Championships.  She will join her brothers at the national championships in New Mexico.
