Elliott selected as July Athlete of the Month

Ramiah Elliott, 14, of Indianapolis has been named the USATF Indiana Athlete of the Month for July 2018.
Elliott, who just began her freshman year at North Central High School, won two national titles at the USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Championships in Greensboro, N.C.  On Saturday (28-Jul) she won the 200m blasting a career best time of 23.84; a time only bettered by the top eight Indiana preps on the all-time list.  She defeated Rasunek Tyler-Thompson of Georgia who ran 24.19.

The next day she ran 54.62 to win the 400m over JaMeesia Ford (55.24) of North Carolina. Again, her time has only been bettered by eight Indiana preps ever (note: her career best of 53.69 from last year has only been bettered by three Indiana preps).
