Davis Third in 3000m
USATF Indiana athletes delivered a strong showing at the USATF Youth Indoor Championships, held March 20–22 in Staten Island, NY at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, with multiple podium finishes across sprint, distance, and field events. A total of 1,887 athletes from across the country competed over the three-day championship.
Leading the way was Cianna Cunningham (Run With The Winners), who turned in one of the most impressive performances of the meet for Indiana. Competing in the 15–16 Girls division, Cunningham captured a national title in the 55m, added a runner-up finish in the Triple Jump, and placed fourth in the 200m to complete a standout championship.
Distance standout Oakley Davis (HP Distance) also made her presence felt in the 11–12 Girls division, securing a third-place finish in the 3000m, along with additional podium appearances in the 1500m (4th) and 800m (7th).
On the boys’ side, Rory O’Keefe (HP Distance) competed across three distance events in the 11–12 Boys division, earning a fourth-place finish in the 800m, fifth in the 3000m, and sixth in the 1500m to showcase his range and consistency.
