Kevin Bruch, 64, of McCordsville won the 55m (8.08), High Jump (1.30m), Long Jump (3.82m), and Shot Put (11.76m) at the USATF Illinois Masters Indoor Championships in Romeoville, IL. Elizabeth Evans, 33, of Terre Haute finished eighth in the high jump (1.77m / 5-9¾) at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, NM. Hidi Gaff (Three Rivers Racing), 43, ran 19:28 to finish sixth in the W40 division at the USATF Masters 5 km Championships in Atlanta. Barak Hedman (Indiana BLAST), 12, of Fort Wayne ran 7.78 (60m) and 26.85 (200m) at the Midwest High Performance #3 meet in Fort Wayne. Jessica Hegedus (Avon High School), 17, of Avon ran 2:20.17 (800m) and 10:48.73 (3200m) at the MITS - GVSU #5 meet in Allendale, Michigan. The 3200m time is #30 on the Indiana high school all-time indoor performer list. Julia Kiesler (Boise State Univ.), 19, of Columbus finished second in the 5000m (16:55.07) at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship . Hadley Lucas (Bloomington North High School), 17, of Bloomington set the Indiana high school all-time Shot Put record with a throw of 51-10½ at the Whiteland HSR Qualifier #1 meet in Indianapolis. Hadley broke the previous state record (Cassandra Wertman, 2012) by 10 inches. Ben Nagel, 23, of Mooresville finished 11th in the 800m (1:48.28) at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, NM. Brion Stephens (Louisville University, 21, of Indianapolis finished 12th in the high jump (2.17m / 7-1½) at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, NM. He also finished second in the high jump (2.21m / 7-3) at the ACC Indoor Championships in Boston. Ashlyn Schwab, 18, of Brownsburg won the pole vault (12-6¾) at the PV Junkies meet in Urbana, IL. The mark is #19 on the Indiana high school all-time performer list. Sydney Walter, 30, of Bloomington finished ninth in the pole vault (4.25m / 13-11¼) at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, NM. Ken Wempe (Indiana Elite AC), 55, of Indianapolis ran 18:26 to finish seventh in the M55 division at the USATF Masters 5 km Championships in Atlanta. Addison Wiley (adidas), 20, finished second in the 800m (2:00.70) at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, NM. The time was Wiley's short track career best.
