GETTING TO KNOW......Kamyren Garrett

Kamyren Garrett is a senior at Lawrence Central High School and currently has the #1 high jump performance (7-3) in the country.   That clearance on April 17 at the Lawrence Central Invitational lands him #3 all-time on the Indiana high school list; just one inch off the state record set by Nate Patterson in 2018.

While the rankings are just that - a ranking; Garrett has goals that far exceed being just the best high school high jumper this season.  We recently caught up with Garrett and learned more about his goals for the rest of the season and what led to his decision to matriculate to Kansas State University in the fall.
