Wilson selected as June Athlete of the Month

Allie Wilson, 24, of Indianapolis has been named the USATF Indiana Athlete of the Month for June 2024. Wilson, who recently relocated to Indiana, competes for Nike and the Heartland Track Club.

Wilson started the month off winning the 800m at the Music City Track 
Carnival on June 1 in Murfreesboro, TF. Her winning time was 2:00.85.

On June 9 she finished 15th in the 1500m at the Portland Track Festival running 4:11.78.

Then at the Olympic Trials in Eugene she finished second in the 800m running 1:58.32 to earn a spot on Team USA for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. She is currently ranked #20 in the world in the 800m

Wilson is a 2018 graduate of Monmouth University (New Jersey) and prior to moving to Indiana competed for the Atlanta Track Club. She moved to Indianapolis earlier this year and is training with the newly formed Heartland Track Club and is coached by Andrew Begley.

Hannah Alexander of Noblesville finished 4th in the Discus (146-06) and 6th in the Shot Put (44-01½) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She also finished 11th in the Shot Put (14.03m / 46-00½) and 13th in the Discus (43.32m / 143-08) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR.

Martin Barco of Martinsville won the 800m (1:50.97, #18 Indiana all-time) and 1600m (4:06.34) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. He then finished third in the 1500m (3:47.73) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR.

Makenna Carpenter finished 7th in the Pole Vault (11-06) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Gia Clay of Indianapolis finished 2nd in the 400m (56.23) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then finished 2nd in the 400m (58.13) and 3rd in the 200m (25.38) at the USATF Indiana Junior Olympic Championships.

Brock Conrad of Corydon finished 7th in the Discus (162-06) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Shane Conroy of Valparaiso finished 6th in the 3200m (9:02.69) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Kya Crooke of Fishers won the High Jump (5-11, #9 Indiana all-time) and finished 3rd in the Long Jump (19-0½) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. A week later she won the High Jump (5-10) and Long Jump (19-03¼) at the Midwest Meet of Champions. Then at the USATF Indiana Junior Olympic Championships she won the 100m (12.20) and High Jump (5-07¾) and finished 2nd in the Long Jump (18-03¼).

Kenzie Crooke of Fishers finished 8th in the 300m Hurdles (45.01) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then finished 2nd in the Triple Jump (32-01), 3rd in the 100m Hurdles (15.66), and 6th in the Long Jump (15-07) at the USATF Indiana Junior Olympic Championships.

Tyler Dillon of Muncie finished 9th in the 800m (1:56.28) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Libby Dowty of Morgantown finished 2nd in the 3200m (10:15.14, #10 Indiana all-time) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Dede Eberle of Bloomington won the 100m Hurdles (14.25) and finished 7th in the Long Jump (17-10¾) and 9th in the 300m Hurdles (45.03) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. 

Elizabeth Evans of Terre Haute finished 13th in the High Jump (1.78m / 5-10) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR.

Nadia Ford of Fort Wayne finished 6th in the 100m (12.32) and 6th in the 200m (25.22) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Kamyren Garrett of Indianapolis finished 16th in the High Jump (2.14m / 7-00¼) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. He also finished 17th at the NCAA Championships in Eugene. Garrett competes for the University of Illinois.

Gabriela Grande Rosas of Carmel finished 6th in the 400m (56.88) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Eli Griffin of Roanoke finished 2nd in the Pole Vault (15-09) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Luke Griner of North Webster finished 29th in the 800m (1:47.74) at the Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. He also finsiehd 22nd in the 800m (1:49.87) at the NCAA Championships in Eugene. Griner competes for the U.S. Military Academy.

Jessica Hegedus of Avon finished 7th in the 1600m (4:54.13) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. The next week she finished 5th in the 1600m (5:02.27) at the Midwest Meet of Championships

Haylee Hile of Goshen finished 12th in the 3000m Steeplechase (11:24.92) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR. Hile competes for Purdue Univ. Fort Wayne.

Luke Himes of McCordsville finished 7th in the Shot Put (56-10¾) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. He then finished 5th in the Shot Put (18.63m / 64-11¼) at the USATF U20 Championships and 4th (67-05¾) at the Nike Nationals in Eugene, OR.

Charity Hufnagel of Michigantown won the High Jump (1.94m / 6-4¼ - personal best) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. Hufnagel competes for the University of Kentucky.

Tacoria Humphrey of Indianapolis finished 14th the Long Jump (6.37m / 20-10¾) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. Humphrey competes for the University of Illinois.

Ava Johnson of Fishers won the 11-12 girls 200m, 400m, and Long Jump at the Indiana Junior Olympic Championships

Maura Kimmel of South Bend finished 21st in Discus Throw (48.54 / 159-03) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR.

Antonio Laidler of Bloomington finished 31st in the 100m (10.36) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. Laidler competes for the University of Indiana.

Savannah Lake of Greenfield finished 3rd in the 100m (12.21) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then finished 2nd in the 100m (12.30) and 3rd in the 200m (25.59) at the Midwest Meet of Champions.

Hadley Lucas of Bloomington won the Shot Put (51-11 - meet record) and the Discus Throw 160-06 - meet record) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then placed 4th in the Shot Put (15.71m / 51-06½) and 6th in the Discus (50.85m / 166-10) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR.

Camden Marshall of Bloomington finished 23rd in the 800m (1:48.17) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. He also finished 9th in the 800m at the NCAA Championships in Eugene. Marshall competes for the University of Indiana.

Rachel Mehringer of Schnellville, IN finished 3rd in the 100m Hurdles (13.51) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR. Mehringer competes for Indiana State University.

Nayyir Newash Campbell of Plainfield finished 12th in the 400m (47.59) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR. Newash Campbell competes for the University of Pennsylvania.

Emily Norris of Carmel finished 8th in the 200m (25.57) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Carter Pheifer of Greenwood finished 5th in the Pole Vault (15-03) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Margaret Powers of Fishers finished 4th in the 1600m (4:52.54) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then won the 3200m (11:32.70) and finished 3rd in the 1600m (4:54.08) at the Midwest Meet of Champions.

PaShence Purnell of Indianapolis finished 4th in the 300m Hurdles (44.31) and 7th in the 100m Hurdles (15.09) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Jordan Randall of Warsaw finished 3rd in the High Jump (6-08) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. He then finished 4th in the High Jump (6-09) at the Nike Nationals in Eugene, OR.

Josefina Rastrelli of Warsaw finished 2nd in the 1600m (4:50.45) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Erin Reese of Terre Haute finished third in the Hammer Thrown (71.42m) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR and qualified for the Paris Olympc Games.

Chanler Robinson of Indianapolis finished 24th in the 400m Hurdles (57.44) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. Robinson competes for Ohio State University.

Isaac Roman of Cedar Lake finished 6th in the Pole Vault (15-00) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Aubrey Runyon of Franklin finished 5th in the 100m Hurdles (14.82) and 5th in the 300m Hurdles (44.38( at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. A week later she finished 2nd in the 100m Hurdles (14.86) and 300m Hurdles (44.98) at the Midwest Meet of Champions. She then won 400m Hurdles (1:04.08) and finished 2nd in the 100m Hurdles (14.79) at the USATF Indiana Junior Olympic Championships.

Mason Schmitz of Fortville finished 4th in the 800m (1:52.98) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. He then won the 800m (1:52.57 - Indiana Freshman class record) and finished 2nd in the 400m (49.54) at the Indiana Junior Olympic Championships.

Ashlyn Schwab of Brownsburg finished 3rd in the Pole Vault (12-00) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then finished 2nd in the Pole Vault (11-09) at the Midwest Meet of Champions.

Julia Score of Noblesville finished 8th in the 1600m (4:54.28) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Laila Smith of Indianapolis won the 300m Hurdles (43.35) and finished 2nd in the 100m Hurdles (14.66) and Long Jump (19-03¾) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Elise Smith of McCordsville finished 4th in the 200m (25.10) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then finished 5th in the 100m (12.57), 200m (25.44), and 400m (59.01) at the Midwest Meet of Champions.

Kaitlyn Stewart of Floyds Knobs finished 3rd in the 1600m (4:50.81) and 6th in the 3200m (10:34.22) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Stuart Stovall of Fishers finished 10th in the Hammer Throw (58.06m / 190-06) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR. Stovall competes for Cornerstone University.

Delaney Teachnor of Noblesville finished 2nd in the Pole Vault (12-03) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Katie Thronson of South Bend finished 28th in the 3000m Steeplechase (10:10.40) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. 

Hayden Tobias of Fishers finished 16th the Shot Put (19.29m / 63-03½) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR. Tobias competes for Ohio State University.

Jila Vaden of Indianapolis won the Long Jump (20-00¾) and finished 2nd in the 100m (12.11) and 3rd in the 200m (24.94) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then placed 6th in the Long Jump (6.15m / 20-02¼) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR

Jaylen Walcott of Indianapolis finished 8th in the Pole Vault (15-00) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. He then finished 3rd in the 400m (49.12) at the Midwest Meet of Champions.

Ellyse Walden of Russiaville won the 15-16 girls Shot Put and Discus Throw at the USATF Indiana Junior Olympic T&F Championships.

Genesis Warhop of Westfield won the 9-10 girls 100m, 200m, and 400m at the USATF Indiana Junior Olympic T&F Championships.

Cole Watson of Whiteland finished 2nd in the 800m (2:01.12) and 3rd in the 1 Mile (4:34.56) in the middle school division at the New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia.

Ivan Weaver of Indianapolis finished 2nd in the 400m (48.45) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Addison Wiley of Huntington finished 11th in the 1500m (4:06.59) and 19th in the 800m (2:02.42) at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, OR.

Waverly Woolever of Noblesville finished 7th in the High Jump (5-05) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington. She then finished 2nd in the High Jump (5-05¾) at the USATF Indiana Junior Olympic Championships

Doug Yoder of Goshen finished 3rd in the Discus (150-01) at the IHSAA state championships in Bloomington.

Ryan York of Cedar Lake finished 9th in the 3000m Steeplechase (9:27.53) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR. York competes for Indiana State University.

Lillian Zelasko of N. Liberty finished 7th in the 5000m (17:07.04) at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, OR. Zelasko competes for Western Michigan University.
