Ramiah Elliott, 18, of Indianapolis has been named the USATF Indiana Athlete of the Month for March 2022.   Elliott is a senior at North Central High School and has announced she will matriculate to the University of Florida following graduation.

On March 13, Elliott won the 200m at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York.  Her winning time of 23.34 was the fastest ever run by an Indiana girl indoors and just .07 seconds off her outdoor career best time.  Only Maicel Malone's state outdoor record of 23.12 and Elliott's outdoor 23.27 are faster on the Indiana all-time list.  In New York she also finished sixth in the 60m running 7.48.

One week later at the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference championships she won the 60m running a career best of 7.47 (Indiana #3 all-time).  Her time has only been bettered by Semira Killebrew (7.34) and Lynna Irby (7.39).

To rounded out the month by winning the 60m at the Hoosier State Relays in a time of 6.48.  She also ran the second leg on North Central's winning 4x200m relay team.
