Costelow selected as December Athlete of the Month

Drew Costelow, 16, of Bargersville, Ind. has been named the USATF Indiana Athlete of the Month for December 2020. Costelow is a sophmore at Center Grove High School and competes for the Center Grove Track & XC Club Club.

On December 13, Costelow finished second in the 15-16 division at the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in Paris, KY. Costelow ran 15:41 over the 5 km course and was just five seconds behind winner Nathan Lopez of Massachusetts.

Costelow led all five of the scoring members of the Center Grove team to all-American honors and a second place team finish. The team scored 58 points; just 2 more than that of the winning squad New England Elite TC.

Earlier in the year Costelow finished 32nd at the Indiana High School Championships as his team placed fourth. All of the scoring members of the team are underclassmen.
