2022 Carmel Classic / Hoosier XC Grand Prix

Possible Event Schedule Changes

The weather for tomorrow’s Carmel Classic calls for rain and high winds. While at this time we do not see lightning in the forecast that is always a possibility. Our contract with the venue requires us to start the last race by 2 pm so extending the meet schedule is not an available option. Our goal is for everyone to be able to run and this may require some race-day schedule changes. We will start the first race at Noon but may need to condense the event schedule (e.g., earlier start times and/or combining of events). We will keep you updated via email and the event website.

SPECATORS / VENUE POLICIES

• No Pets.  Please leave all pets at home.  We have had issues of dogs getting lose in the past and tripping runners.
• Spectators should take great caution to not cross over the running surface during races, but if you must, please be courteous to the runners and give PLENTY of time before you cross or wait until they pass you. Please encourage others to do this as well.
• Spectators should not go under or over any flagging set anywhere on the course, including the finish area.
• Spectators should remain behind the areas marked on the finish stretch at all times.
• Please take all trash with you as you leave and help by taking any you may see around.

COURSE REVIEW

There will be no formal course review/walk. 
 

ELIGIBILITY

• Athletes of all ages are eligible to compete in this event.  
• Only USATF Indiana members will earn Hoosier XC Grand Prix points.
